CARQUEST catalogs are one of your prime sources for information about parts. Being able to quickly determine the part your customers need builds their confidence in your product knowledge and skill. 

CARQUEST chassis catalogs include the Master Chassis and Wheel Alignment Products catalogs.
Master Chassis Catalog
 
The Master Chassis Catalog uses illustrations to provide complete detail and description of steering and suspension parts. It is available in bound book form and electronically. The catalog is organized to help eliminate confusion in identifying components. Vehicles are listed by make and model. Catalog header sections are colored blue for domestic vehicles and black for imports. Light trucks have separate sections for two wheel and four wheel drive. 
 
A numerical listing of parts and their applications, with illustrations, is in the back of the catalog. There is also is a listing of tie rods and drag links by size, along with a king pin identification section. 

You will find the detailed, exploded views of steering and suspensions systems very useful, particularly if there are several versions or other attributes that cause confusion when ordering replacement parts. The catalog’s combination of pictures and text will help you ask the right questions so you can provide the correct part to your customer.

 


 

All parts are called out with available options. For instance, on the 1995-2002 Chevrolet S10 4WD Blazer and Pickup, there are several options for servicing the upper control arm bushings. There are standard bushings (K6283), and there are also Problem Solver bushings which enhance the vehicle’s ride characteristics (K6418). There is also an eccentric bushing kit available that provides additional camber adjustment (K7104). This bushing kit can be used even if additional camber is not required and the bolt is being replaced because of thread damage or corrosion. Deciding which option to use would depend on the condition of the original bolt, whether there is a need for additional camber and the customer’s preference on ride characteristics.
